Maria Silvia is a patent attorney in the field of trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications. She specializes in intellectual property protection in Estonia and the European Union. Maria Silvia has considerable experience in intellectual property strategy development and execution for both local and international clients. She has successfully represented clients in the Estonian Patent Office, European Union Intellectual Property Office and various dispute settlement bodies (including boards of appeal, courts).
In addition to the above, Maria Silvia is a lecturer of the intellectual property protection course in the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, and an additional member of the Estonian Patent Office’s Industrial Property Board of Appeals where she decides disputes concerning industrial property registrations.
