Maria Silvia is a patent attorney specialising in trade marks, industrial designs and geographical indications, with a particular focus on the legal protection of intellectual property in Estonia and the European Union. Maria Silvia has considerable experience in developing and implementing intellectual property strategies for both domestic and international clients. She has also successfully represented clients before the Estonian Patent Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office and various dispute resolution bodies (including boards of appeal and courts).
In addition to the above, Maria Silvia is a lecturer in intellectual property protection at the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, a member of the Professional Qualifications Committee of the Estonian Chamber of Patent Attorneys, and a member of the Industrial Property Appeals Board operating under the Estonian Patent Office, resolving disputes relating to industrial property registrations.
Her professional expertise is solidified by international recognition: Maria Silvia has been individually recognised in both IP Stars and the World Trademark Review (WTR 1000) directories.
