TRINITI JUREX advises one of Lithuania’s construction companies, Gudmonas ir Ko, on employment, immigration, posted-worker and cross-border regulatory matters arising from the secondment of employees to construction projects in Germany.
As part of the mandate, TRINITI JUREX works closely with German law firm SCHALAST LAW | TAX, a fellow member of the MULTILAW network. Together, the firms coordinate legal advice on employee assignments, registration procedures and regulatory compliance in both Lithuania and Germany.
One of the most significant outcomes of the project was the successful recovery of more than EUR 113,000 in overpaid German wage tax, which had resulted from the interaction between the Lithuanian and German tax systems.
Projects of this nature require a multidisciplinary approach, as they involve the simultaneous application of employment, tax, immigration and posted-worker regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
