TRINITI advised UG Investments OÜ on its investment in Greenergy Data Centers’ facility in Hüüru, the largest data center in the Baltics. With the support of UG Investments OÜ’s investment, a total 42.5% stake was acquired in Greenergy Data Centers.
The transaction brought a strong group of Estonian investors into the company’s ownership structure and marked the beginning of the next major phase of development. The highly reliable data center in Hüüru is being expanded to meet rapidly growing international demand for the computing power required for artificial intelligence. Dutch technology company Nebius will be the first major AI client to use the new infrastructure.
The investments for Greenergy Data Centers’ current expansion amount to nearly EUR 100 million. In the first phase, AI infrastructure with a capacity of 22 MW will be built, while the long-term goal is to increase the data center’s capacity to approximately 200 MW and develop the Hüüru center into one of Northern Europe’s leading artificial intelligence infrastructure hubs.
TRINITI assisted the client in preparing the documents and agreements required for the acquisition of the stake, supported the client throughout the negotiations, and advised on the merger control proceedings. The project was led by managing partner Ergo Blumfeldt, assisted by junior associate Peeter Paju. The team also included partner Tanel Kalaus and attorneys-at-law Ain Kalme and Mikk Põld.
UG Investments OÜ is an Estonian-owned holding company investing primarily in sustainable companies with export potential in the energy and industrial sectors, as well as in infrastructure and utilities.
