Passionate about sustainable development and green technologies, Agnė has worked on numerous matters within the energy sector and has in-depth knowledge on regulations in that sector. with her particular focus being on heat, electricity, and renewable energy. She also possesses considerable knowledge in energy pricing and tariff regulation, auctions, trade-in energy, national legislation, and regulation within the sector, as well as market liberalization.
Agnė advises clients on the implementation and development of real estate and energy-related projects. She also provides legal advice on regulatory issues and represents clients in related disputes. She provides day to day legal assistance to one of the biggest independent electricity providers and RES developers in the country and consults with foreign companies regarding investment in RES development in Lithuania and participation in support schemes within ES member states.
Highlights of her experience:
- Successfully represented a group of members of parliament in the Lithuanian Constitutional Court investigating whether the provisions of the Law on Energy of the Republic of Lithuania are in conflict with the Constitution.
- Legal advice to Danpower, a leading German utility company, on the acquisition of various district heating, CHP and energy companies and consolidation of those into Danpower Baltic, a leading private energy company in the Baltics.
- Legal advice and successful representation of LORDS LB Asset Management, on the acquisition of two renewable energy wind farms of 50 MW each in Lithuania.
- Successfully represented the Restaurant Group Fortas in a dispute with an unnamed insurance company.
