Due to the severe economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and closure of many of businesses, Estonian government has adopted a temporary relief measure for salary support for employers during the months on March, April and May 2020. The Basic principle of the support states that employees, whose salary has been decreased or who have been sent home due to lack of work will be compensated 70% of their salary for a period of 2 months.
