TRINITI Transaction Team spent an eventful day at Tallinn Airport visit the leading MRO, a CRJ900-type passenger aircraft, emergency rescue services and the airport maintenance unit.
The day began at the Magnetic MRO hangars, where CEO Risto Mäeots introduced the world of aircraft repair and maintenance. TRINITI team got a close-up look at how detailed each stage of aircraft maintenance is and how great the technical team’s responsibility is in ensuring flight safety.
We were then welcomed by Riivo Tuvike, Chairman of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport, who explained how a modern airport operates as a comprehensive system and took our lawyers to areas that are normally closed to visitors. We were also introduced to a Bombardier CRJ-900 passenger jet aircraft owned by Transpordi Varahaldus (TVH) and, under the guidance of Silver Hunt, CAMO manager at Jettech OÜ responsible for the continuous airworthiness of TVH aircraft, learned about the complex technical platform of a 88-seater passenger aircraft.
During our visit to the airport rescue services we were shown the work and equipment of the emergency rescue unit, incl the powerful rescue vehicles up close and hear about how they prepare for emergencies that hopefully will never happen, but for which they must always be ready. The day ended with an introduction to the massive runway maintenance equipment, which has no equivalent in Estonia and which, if necessary, works continuously in shifts, allowing the airport to remain open in almost all weather conditions.
