TRINITI participated in the project “Developing Technological Solutions and Production Possibilities for Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Estonia and Latvia”. The project was commissioned by the European Commission’s Reform and Investment Task Force (SG REFORM), the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia and the Ministry of Climate of the Republic of Estonia. The project was implemented by PwC EU Services with contributions from PwC member firms in Latvia and Estonia, along with PwC’s global strategy consulting division and TRINITI Estonia.

The 16-month long project evaluated the potential for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in Estonia and Latvia and delivered recommendations to increase access to SAF. The project aimed to enhance both countries’ competitiveness in the SAF sector, in line with their approved strategies, and it provided post‑project recommendations to Estonian and Latvian policymakers. The solutions and strategies were developed in close cooperation with policymakers and industry representatives in both countries. The key outcomes of the project are the enhanced policy framework to improve the competitiveness of Latvia and Estonia in the SAF industry, as well as building the capacities of the relevant authorities and stakeholders to boost the access to and use of SAF.
