TRINITI advised SmartCap, the Estonian state VC fund, in Starship’s latest financing round of USD 50 million.
Starship, founded in 2014 by Ahti Heinla (Skype) and Janus Friis, is one of the world leaders in autonomous delivery. Its level 4 autonomous delivery robots (currently approximately 2700 in total) operate in more than 270 global locations and have completed more than 9 million deliveries.
The investors participating in this financing round also included Plural, Karma.vc, Skaala, Latitude and Coefficient Capital. Together with this latest financing round the aggregate financing raised by Starship now exceeds USD 280 million.
TRINITI advised the client in conducting the legal due diligence and with the deal documentation, including negotiations related thereto. TRINITI’s team was led by associate partner Valter Võhma and also included senior associate Peeter Paul Mõtsküla.
