TRINITI Partner and Honorary Consul of Slovenia Opens an Exhibition Celebrating the 25 Years of Slovenian Independence

A photo exhibition was opened on the main Vabaduse Square in Tallinn, Estonia which marks the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Slovenia. The photo exhibition was festively opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Poland, Estonia and Lithuania H.E. Mr. Robert Krmelj, Tallinn Deputy Mayor Taavi Aas and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Estonia Tõnis Tamme, also partner at TRINITI Pan-Baltic Law Firm.

The photo exhibition “I FEEL SLOVENIA” has been prepared by the Government Communication Office of the Republic of Slovenia in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Warsaw and Slovenia Press Photo. 38 large photos that have been selected from more than 1000, with motifs from the nature, cultural heritage, architectural masterpieces and scenes from the lives of people living in the middle of nature.

“Estonia and Slovenia share the same values and this year we are both celebrating the 25th anniversary of our countries’ independence or its re-establishment. It is remarkable that both of our countries have enjoyed 25 years of freedom and independence and we should be very proud of the rapid development of our states. The aim of this exhibition is to present Slovenia to the wider public and the visitors of this country as a green, environmental-friendly, clean, innovative and secure country, where the main values are a balanced lifestyle, family and knowledge,” said the Ambassador Krmelj.

In his welcoming address Tallinn Deputy Mayor Taavi Aas said “Between Estonia and Slovenia it’s easy to find similarity’s, you can find them in history, values and both countries have strong desire to be independent. But Estonia and Slovenia also appreciate clean and green environment. This year Slovenia capital Ljubljana won “European Green Capital 2016“ award and Tallinn has a lot to learn how to achieve a greener urban environment.”

Honorary Consul of Slovenia in Estonia Tõnis Tamme stressed the importance of the good development of the economic, cultural and personal ties between the two European countries. “Slovenia and Estonia enjoy a good reputation in the eyes of each other which makes an excellent base for mutually beneficial co-operation, be it in the fields of commercial aviation (Nordica-Adria), IT-security, tourism or increased trade of wood or medical products (Brenstol, Krka), home appliances (Gorenje) or wine and foodstuff.

The exhibition will be opened for the public until the evening of September 6th, 2016 after which it will move to Riga.
