Global Lithuania Club starts, initiative inspired by TRINITI
This initiative consists of series of meetings with various politicians, well-known public figures and other opinion leaders in Lithuania, who will be sharing their ideas on future possibilities and possible threats for Lithuania. This is the first event of the series on topics related to Lithuania‘s future and will be held on 20th March at 6.30 pm in the house of Lithuania‘s writers union (Lietuvos rašytojų sąjunga; K. Sirvydo g. 6, Vilnius).
During last 24 years Lithuania was rapidly moving forward: declaring Independence, entering the EU and NATO. These impressive results in such a short time show that Lithuanians can get themselves together and reach impressive goals, they also know how to work consistently and unremitting. However, a question arises after reaching these goals – what is next? Do Lithuanians in Lithuania and abroad know the vision and further goals of our country? Do we have such goals? What do we work for? What is the common goal which could inspire and unite Lithuanians again?
According to Linas Sabaliauskas, the managing partner of TRINITI in Lithuania, the purpose of „Global Lithuania Club“ initiative is to develop a discussion on relevant questions – where are we now and what are we heading to. He added that this idea was inspired by the team‘s inner drive, strategic thinking, indifference to the history of Lithuania and well-being of our society.
Algirdas Kaušpėdas, the initiator of Lietuvos Sąjūdis, Arvydas Anušauskas, the historian, publicist, writer, public figure and politician, Gabrielius Landsbergis, the candidate to EU parliament and Juras Požela will be sharing their ideas during this first meeting. Discussion will be moderated by the managing partner of TRINITI Lithuania, Linas Sabaliauskas.
